REVIEW-MOVE THE SUN (SIGNAL BEND #1) BY SUSAN FANETTI (PSSST! PLUS A GIVEAWAY!)

My rating: 5 out of 5 stars

"How about this: we're a couple because we fuck like freight trains, and there ain't nobody else around can handle us."~Isaac

^ This.

Hells bells did I enjoy this book! It was recommended to me a long time ago and I'm now kicking myself in the ass for waiting so long to get around to it. I only have 4, yes, FOUR lines of notes on this one. Not that there wasn't PLENTY to note. It's simply because I couldn't be bothered by pausing long enough to pick up a pen. I do love me some MC romance but this, this was in a league all its own!

Right out the gate, such an emotional prologue. It truly set the tone for our heroine, Lilli's, background and personality. She is bold, badass and you had best stay out of her damn way. Thankfully, Isaac likes it rough, and so it goes...

I'm just gonna blabber on for a few minutes so please bare with me. I LOVE how the cliché's are kicked to the curb here. Isaac is the EPITOME of alpha male. He's dark, gritty, crass and passionate almost, ALMOST to a fault. He has no manners, LOL and to be honest, you just cant take him anywhere! Not that you would even want to leave the house but I digress. He's not some slick, bare chested 20 something on a bike. While I'm not really a fan of hairy men, I have to applaud the author for all that is Isaac. GASP!  A man who doesn't wax or shave his chest? No real man-scaping to note? And what do you mean he's 39 years old?!

Both of these characters are questionable at best and extremely rough around the edges. Neither trust easily, for good reason, yet someway, somehow, they manage to look beyond all the grey matter. I can't even address my favorite scenes as it would require a basic copy/paste of a good 3/4 of the book! When they love, they love hard. When they fight, duck! Isaac is delicious and Lilli, as bat shit crazy as she can be, is one of my favorite heroines to date! This isn't your typical love story. It's dark, raw and touches on subject matters that may generate triggers in some readers. It isn't all roses and unicorns jumping rainbows. You will laugh, cry and blush a few times over. Bottom line, read this book. In fact, I'll give ONE away right now! Kindle version...who wants it?
