"Ye must've been chewing on four leaf clovers all along...I'm completely mad for you, sweetheart." ~Lachlan Crow

This new to me author/series came as a complete surprise! I'll admit, I grabbed it because at the time, it was free and lets be honest, the cover is eye catching. I had no idea I would end up enjoying it as much I did.

I love the use of music in this book. Various song titles are mentioned throughout, which brought more life to the story that was being told. The play list is on. point.,  90's Alternative Rock! On to the book itself...

Wow. First we have a headstrong, kick ass heroine in Mackenzie, aka Mack. She's young but has seen a lot, lost even more and had to grow up way too fast. She's determined to find answers, even if it could ultimately cost her her life. Enter Lachlan Crow...

My face hurt from all the grinning, the swooning and the OMG!!!!'ing LOL Crow is everything I could possibly want in a male lead. He is the epitome of grey character. He'll melt and break your heart as easily as he'll put a hole in it. He's lethal, deadly and with that Irish accent...I was done for.

Crow is an action packed, emotional roller coaster of a ride that features an unlikely pairing who is my EXACT BRAND OF DARK DYSFUNCTION. Envelopes were pushed and with power comes struggle and with defiance comes submission. I cannot stress it enough, READ THIS BOOK! Next up...REAPER!

P.S.-Chapter 35.

"Don't give up on me, Alina."~Connor

Twenty questions...oh the feels!!! This book is EVERYTHING. I've been a fan of Ms. Rose for quite some time but I'll be honest and say that I haven't LOVED every single book I've read of hers. Perfect Rage however, is just. that. good. I've patiently (or, not so much) waiting for Connor's story and it absolutely delivered, and then some!

I'm not one for insta-love but leave it to this author to lay it out perfectly! Connor is every bit the leading man with all his pros, his cons, his light and his oh so dark moments. He is a broken man who will offend you and pull at your heart strings all at the same time. Alina didn't piss me off, though she rode a fine line for a min or two! Their chemistry though, was so spot on! They weren't written as some picture perfect couple, nor did she just the pretty girl. There's grit, angst and questionable decision making. On a more shallow note, that cover...YES!!!

Perfect Rage is an emotional roller coaster that I would LOVED to have been able to just sit and read in one sitting. Unfortunately, life gets in the way sometime but the first night, I stayed up until 3a.m. and only gave up once my eyes started to cross. Pacing is so incredibly important to me and this book never slowed down, yet managed to fully lay out the story and build the characters along the way. There's romance, suspense, action, the sweetest of bro-mances to boot! Perfect Rage is my FAVORITE of 2016, to date, hands down!!!

She'd earned alpha, but, as a woman, she found she had to earn it again every day.

First up...lets talk cover. I don't like what I tend to call 'cartoon covers'. It's a pet peeve of mine, no stars were lost, I'm just not a fan and truth be told, if I were scanning Amazon, I would passed right over it. I know, I know, you can't judge a book by...yeah well, that's just me. It is what it is.

This is a story of two alphas, Tala and Marrok (great names btw!) who are forced into a marriage of convenience. I struggled with this one early on, for a couple reasons. Paranormal romance, with two alpha shifters no less, has no room for, what felt to me, as juvenile terms. Coming across words like butt, boobs and the cringe worthy orgasmic goo is a HUGE kill joy for me. I also dislike it when a character seems to do a flip flop before I really get to know said character. On one hand, our heroine, Tala, seemed to be reluctant, standoffish even to this marriage. Sure, she found him hot but she seemed resentful to be put in the position she found herself in. Two seconds later, he provides some water and green pillows and boom! Blow job time. None of it made sense to me and so it didn't deliver any intimacy or romance.

With all of the above being said, I pressed on and I'm glad that I did. The beginning of the turn around for me was two stand out side characters, Leia and Castor. I was, however, pissed that most of their story took place off screen. They need their own book. Hopefully that's the plan for down the road. Also, while the sex scenes in this book didn't work for me, the true intimacy that developed truly delivered! I enjoyed the battle for dominance, the joint effort against the enemy and the time out taken to get to know their new mate. Those three scenes were my absolute favorite and provided the sex appeal that the act itself didn't quite provide. Will I continue with this series? Yes, the supporting cast have stories that definitely need to be told and I'm looking forward to it.
