GeorgieI lie to survive. Have since I was sixteen and my world fell into chaos. But I found a way to endure, or rather it found me. Now I’m a prisoner of my own doing, hiding behind a false mask so no one sees the truth. Not even the man I want but can’t have—Deck. But I messed up and the lies are spilling over, out of control. Deck is unrelenting and will settle for nothing less than the truth. He demands everything from me—EVERYTHING—even if it rips me apart. DECK I kill for a living. Unyielding—It’s how I survive in my line of work. I bend people to my will…except Georgie. But that ends now. I've played her game for far too long, but not anymore. Now I think it's time we play mine. *18+ due to sexual content, strong language and violence.
Nashoda Rose lives in Toronto with her assortment of pets. She writes contemporary (NA) romance with a splash of darkness, or maybe it’s a tidal wave. Her novella ""With You"" is the first in the Tear Asunder series, followed by the novel ""Torn from You"". When she isn’t writing, she can be found sitting in a field reading with her dog at her side while her horses graze nearby. She loves interacting with her readers on Facebook and chatting about her addiction—books.
3 out of 5 stars
Perfect Chaos (Unyielding #1) is a spinoff of the rocker series Tear Asunder. If you haven't yet read that series, I suggest you put it at the very top of you Christmas wish list! Every single installment has been a 5 star read for me. I can't wait for the next one!
Perfect Chaos is Georgie and Deck's story and one that I've been anxiously waiting to get my hands on since I met them in Tear Asunder. Georgie, the question mark and Deck, the ticking time bomb. Put the two together and you get, well...chaos.
I liked getting a more detailed look at their history, one that goes back to when Georgie was still in high school and Deck being her older brother Connor's best friend. While, Perfect Chaos is a promising start to this new series, I couldn't help but feeling some disappointment that I couldn't quite connect to these characters that I already felt invested in. Would I have enjoyed this first installment more had I not yet read Tear Asunder? Maybe.
Georgie was shattered by the death of her big brother Connor and her world has been in turmoil ever since. She's drowning in a world that she doesn't fully understand and once again it's Deck to the rescue. He, however, has secrets and fears of his own.
All the key components are present, lost girl, alpha male, chaos, suspense and A LOT of steamy sex scenes. Unfortunately, even though Deck's sex appeal is OFF. THE. CHARTS. it became a little too much and stunted the pace of the story. Nashoda Rose continues to be one of my favorite authors and now TWO of her series to follow, win/win.
