Eternally Bound by K.A. Young is a story about love... past, present and the blurred line in between. Caroline is happily married to husband Philip and all is well until nightmares begin to plague her and take their toll on her and those she loves.

Unfortunately, I struggled for the entire length of this book even though I was intrigued by the initial idea/plot behind it. I was put off by the couple right from the start and I never recovered. There is a 15 year age difference between Caroline and her husband. That's no biggie to me. It was stated that she was twenty four so that would make Philip thirty nine yet the way he spoke and gushed it he came across more like eighty nine. The dialogue was just waaaay over the top sweet. Like sickly sweet. It was odd, almost creepy, therefor robbing any chance of "romantic" for me.

Caroline was very plain. She held no real personality and came across as very 'mousey housewife'. It's really hard to get into a book when you have no interest whatsoever in the lead characters. Add the slow start, I didn't have even so much as a spark of interest until around chapter 11. It was around that point when other characters were introduced and while they had more depth than the previous two, it wasn't enough to really kick the story into gear for me. I'm not sure how I feel about the character o Thaddeus. I never got to a point where I wanted to root for him, nor was there any swooning on my part and I do love me some brooding leading me. His brief 'alpha' attempts fell short.

Eternally Bound isn't a poorly written book, quite the opposite actually. Author K.A. Young is a talent and had an interesting inspiration behind this story and there is definitely an audience for it. For me, however, it was just too sweet, too convenient and too civil. Considering all that went down, the betrayals, the realizations, I wanted, expected more angst and raw emotions. I guess I prefer my heroines with a little more venom in their veins and my heroes to be less of a boy scout.

Hi all! In celebration of my birthday, I'm giving away a $10.00 Amazon gift card. Good luck and enjoy!!!

"You are an asshole, but a misguided one." ~Eve

A big thanks to author Sofia Grey for giving me the opportunity to read and review the second installment of her Talisman series, Craving. I also had the privilege to read book one but I have to say, I liked this one better, love it actually!

As noted above, Dante is kind of an asshole. He's grumpy, has the a chip on his shoulder and tends the shun the rich kids mainly before they can shun him first. He has no real place to call home so he crashes wherever he can, including cold empty buildings. He holds séance, makes contact with spirits to make his money and what little he makes isn't his to keep. Dante made a deal with the devil...

What's so great about Craving is that it's a group effort. I have a habit of reading books, picking out one, two characters tops and to hell with the rest. In Craving, I not only liked the two leads but the supporting cast as well. In fact, my stand out is a little Goth-girl named Eve. Hands down, FAVORITE CHARACTER. She's charming, witty and is a quirky voice of reason. Not to mention she can appreciate a hot guy when she sees one. ;-)

Bumpy pacing is enough to make my eye twitch but this story flowed very nicely with a great mix of intrigue, romance, paranormal deliciousness and wait. WTF JUST HAPPENED? I loved the twists and turns and while there is no throw your kindle against the wall type of cliffhanger, it does set up NICELY for book 3. Ms. Grey can't write fast enough!
